What data are collected using CO2mute?
We collect first name, last name, year of birth, home address, work email, company structure and work addresses, the distance traveled.
How are my data used?
Your private data are only known to your employer. We can use the depersonalized data of your trips for statistics and benchmarking.

How accurately CO2 emissions are calculated?
We are using values provided by Lufthansa Innovation Hub GmbH, https://tnmt.com/infographics/carbon-emissions-by-transport-type/. At the moment we calculate the distance as a straight line, we assume that the person will always chose the straightest way if given a choice and the deviations from the straight line are nether depending on person’s will nor have significant impact on making a change. Having the straight line method leaves the only variable – the mean of transportations. The aim of the project is to choose the way we commute, not the distance.
Can I delete my account?
Once created your account is related to your employment to your organization. If you quit your job your account will be canceled by your employer.
